“After listening to the podcasts, very impressed. Not just Michael, but Brent and the two or three other inmates Todd has had on. They are ALL proof that prisoners CAN be rehabilitated. They just have to do most of the work themselves….” Linda J.

It’s an all prison after six, with prisoners Carlos Rebollo and Michael Liebowitz each joining for discussions. Carlos tells a wonderful story that reveals just how hostile the Department of Corrections is to the idea of operating with integrity and with the best interest of taxpayers, or prisoners, in mind. Then Michael Liebowitz, beacon of intelligence and liberty, addresses political matters with his usual thoughtfulness.

Michael Liebowitz is here for a conversation on his early life before prison and what it tells us about learned behavior, violence, and dealing with consequences. Always fascinating.

Prisoner Michael Liebowitz is campaigning for a prison system that practices the rehabilitation of felons like him and a government that respects the small government values of the American system. He discusses his observations with Todd.

Michael Liebowitz is a regular on the show – some may even say FAMOUS – as well as a co-author of Down the Rabbit Hole, a book about criminal justice reform. He joins us from the Osborne Correctional Facility in Somers, Connecticut. Today, Michael talks about the prison system itself and the lack of “correction” that actually gets accomplished, despite the institutions’ formal title.
